Silicone Rubber – Tolerances for products

Advanced Materials offer standard dimensional tolerances to BS3734 Class E1 for silicone rubber extrusions.  The table below shows you what tolerances to expect.

BS3734-1: 1997 is equivalent to ISO 3302-1 1996

If we are not working to Class E1 as standard on your product, we will let you know in writing. If you have a specific tolerance requirement (i.e. cannot be larger than X, or –ANY/+0mm, or simply must fit on a 3mm plate etc) then just let us know at quotation stage and we will endeavour to help with your requirement.

Different tolerances apply for mouldings, cut lengths and sponge products.  If you have any questions, please get in contact with us at sales@amsilicones.co.uk.

If you need a tolerance tighter than those listed above, please give us a call or email.  We love a challenge!

For 99% of our customers, our standard tolerances are enough to satisfy their application conditions but we know that sometimes something out of the ordinary arises where dimensions are critical.  We look forward to working with you on finding a solution that is manufacturable, repeatable and satisfies your requirements.
